We are a movement spearheaded by Cape Town based community builders and event agency, North North Social Club as well as current University of Cape Town Honors student and member of band Operation Khataza, Lois Flandorp.

A space where artists and businesses unite to raise awareness and funds for social ills.
Our current action is for university students currently displaced, unable to graduate and awaiting funding through activations and events.

Every day, with every sun rise we are offered the gift of hope. Understanding and accepting that we don’t have much control over what has passed nor over what is to come.

Low Altitude Sun Raise: Where Creativity Meets Crisis

"I think about back in the day when they used to have benefit concerts. The Live Aid benefit concert is still one of the biggest concerts to ever happen post-apartheid because there were creatives."

David Arries has successfully completed his Honours degree but needs support to clear an outstanding accommodation debt of R9,800 to graduate. Despite working part-time and using a BackaBuddy campaign to reduce his debt from R60,000, the financial challenge persists. Passionate about Environmental Science, David focuses on research blending the environment and politics. As a visual artist, he uses photography to highlight political struggles faced by people of color and critiques systemic oppression.
